Sesta edizione della competizione Project Management Olympic Games (PMOGs WEB) – Meeting di lancio

L’11 novembre 2025 si è svolto il meeting di lancio della competizione PMOGs arrivata alla sesta edizione a cui partecipano 133 studenti (raggruppati in 28 team) delle scuole

1. I.T. Guido Carli di Casal di Principe (Caserta), 13 studenti in 3 team coordinati dal tutor Prof. Luca Letizia che svolgerà anche il ruolo di volontario mentor;
2. ITS Carlo Andreozzi di Aversa (Caserta), 10 studenti in 2 team coordinati dal tutor Prof. Gennaro Cuccaro che svolgerà anche il ruolo di volontario mentor;
3. I.I.S. Bruno Munari di Acerra (Napoli), 6 studenti in 2 team coordinati dalla tutor Prof.ssa Angela Candilena e supportati dal volontario mentor Ing. Bruno Padricelli;
4. I.I.S. Enrico Caruso di Napoli, 12 studenti in 3 team coordinati dalle tutor Prof.ssa Elena Laurenza e Prof.ssa Silvana Spedaliere con il supporto dei volontari mentor Ing. Edoardo Grimaldi e Ing. Giuseppe Esposito;
5. I.I.S. Francesco Saverio Nitti di Portici (Napoli), 17 studenti in 3 team coordinati dalla Prof.ssa Valeria Ricciardi con il supporto del volontario mentor Giuseppe Cocozza;
6. I.T.I. Enrico Medi di San Giorgio a Cremano (Napoli), 27 studenti in 5 team coordinati dal Prof. Salvatore Dario Dalia con il supporto del volontario mentor Ing. Carmine Seraponte;
7. I.T.I. Galileo Ferraris di Napoli, 20 studenti in 4 team coordinati dal Prof. Federico Ceccarini con il supporto del volontario mentor Dott. Andrea Masone;
8. Liceo Segrè di Marano di Napoli, 8 studenti in 2 team coordinati dalla Prof.ssa Roberta Casola con il supporto della volontaria mentor Dott.ssa Paola Mosca;
9. Convitto nazionale Tasso di Salerno, 20 studenti in 4 team coordinati dalla Prof.ssa Teresa Montefusco con il supporto del volontario mentor Ing. Danilo D’Amato.

Il meeting di lancio è stato condotto dall’Ing. Carmine Seraponte, volontario del PMI SIC e del comitato PMIEF.

L’attività di formazione dei PMOGs prevede 4 lezioni e consiste in un approfondimento del tema del Project Management. Infatti, gli studenti partecipanti alla competizione lo scorso anno scolastico hanno partecipato al seminario PMS4L (sia alla versione nazionale che quella internazionale).

La competizione PMOGs prevede 2 gare, la gara individuale e la gara a squadra. Nella prima gli studenti si confronteranno con 3 esami in cui dovranno rispondere a 100 domande a risposta multipla (modalità mutuata dall’esame per conseguire le certificazioni PMI). Lo studente che ottiene il miglior punteggio sarà premiato come miglior PM (Project Manager) della competizione. Saranno premiati anche gli studenti con il miglior punteggio di ciascuna scuola.

Per la gara a squadra i team dovranno realizzare un progetto. Tale progetto è uguale per tutti i team e consiste nella creazione di un cortometraggio che ha per titolo:

“Produzione di un video su un tema di propria scelta”

ad esempio: un tema sociale, una storia di amicizia, un piccolo reportage, etc.; oppure, semplicemente, il racconto della propria esperienza nella partecipazione ai PMOGs.

La durata del video deve essere 4 minuti (tolleranza + o – 15 secondi).

Per la realizzazione del progetto ciascun team dovrà consegnare i seguenti deliverables propri del Project Management:

1. Project Charter;
2. Registro Stakeholders;
3. WBS / Piano delle attività;
4. Matrice RACI;
5. Piano dei rischi;
6. Piano dei costi – Curva S.

Inoltre, dovranno preparare uno speech.

I sei deliverables saranno valutati da una giuria di esperti del PMI SIC.

Per ciascuna scuola, il team con il miglior punteggio entrerà in nomination per presentare il video nella giornata finale. Per i restanti team, entreranno in nomination i tre team con il punteggio più alto.

I team in nomination saranno svelati all’avvio della giornata finale.

I 12 video sanno proiettati e valutati dalla giuria insediatasi nella giornata finale: essa è composta da rappresentanti del Ministero dell’Istruzione, degli sponsor e del PMI.

Il voto della giuria sarà sommato a quello della nomination determinando la classifica aggiornata dei team. Gli speaker dei tre team con il punteggio più altro saranno chiamati a presentare lo speech.

I 3 speech saranno valutati dalla giuria. Lo speaker con il punteggio più altro sarà premiato come miglior speaker della competizione.

ll voto dato allo speech sarà sommato a quello della classifica aggiornata, determinando la classifica finale. Il team con il punteggio più alto sarà premiato come miglior team della competizione. Riceveranno un premio anche gli altri 2 team.

Le scuole partecipanti ed i tutor riceveranno la targa di partecipazione ai PMOGs.

Sixth edition of the Project Management Olympic Games competition (PMOGs WEB) – Kick off meeting

The kickoff meeting of the PMOGs competition, now in its sixth edition, took place on November 11, 2025. A total of 133 students (grouped into 28 teams) from the following schools participated:

The meeting was led by Eng. Carmine Seraponte, a volunteer of the PMI SIC and the PMIEF committee.

The PMOGs training activity includes 4 lessons and consists of an in-depth study of Project Management. Students participating in the competition last school year also attended the PMS4L seminar (both the national and international versions).

The PMOGs competition includes two races: the individual race and the team race.

In the individual race, students will compete in three exams in which they must answer 100 multiple-choice questions (a method inspired by the PMI certification exams). The student with the highest score will be awarded Best PM (Project Manager) of the competition. Students with the highest score from each school will also receive an award.

For the team race, each team must carry out the same project: the creation of a short video titled:

“Producing a video on a theme of your choice”

(for example: a social theme, a story of friendship, a short report, or simply the story of their experience participating in PMOGs).

The video must be 4 minutes long (with a tolerance of ±15 seconds).

To complete the project, each team must deliver the following Project Management–specific deliverables:

1. Project Charter;
2. Stakeholder Register;
3. Work Breakdown Structure (WBS);
4. RACI Matrix;
5. Risk Plan;
6. Cost Plan – S Curve.

In addition, each team must prepare a speech.

The six deliverables will be evaluated by a jury of experts from PMI SIC.

For each school, the team with the highest score will be nominated to present their video on the final day. Among the remaining teams, the three highest-scoring teams overall will also be nominated.

The nominated teams will be revealed at the beginning of the final day.

The 12 videos will be screened and evaluated by a jury formed for the final day, made up of representatives of the Ministry of Education, sponsors, and PMI. The jury’s vote will be added to the nomination score, determining the updated team rankings. Speakers from the three teams with the highest score will be invited to present their speeches.

The jury will evaluate the 3 speeches. The speaker with the highest score will be awarded the title of Best Speaker of the competition.

The score assigned to the speech will be added to the updated ranking, determining the final ranking. The team with the highest score will be awarded Best Team of the competition. The other two teams will also receive an award.

Participating schools and tutors will receive the PMOGs participation plaque.
